Paul H. Nguyen

Lead Pastor

Pastor Paul H. Nguyen was born and raised in a Buddhist family in Vietnam and immigrated to the U.S. when he was 18 years old. He graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and an M.S. from Santa Clara University. He has worked as an embedded software engineer at many high-tech companies in the Bay Area, including Sony, Cisco, Amazon, and currently, Rivian Automotive.

Pastor Paul married a Christian wife but refused to become a believer until 12 years later, when he had a miraculous week-long encounter with God in January 2015. His life was radically changed, and he surrendered to the Lord’s call. He enrolled in Gateway Seminary for a year before transferring to The King’s University, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree. For two years, he served as a Youth and Assistant Pastor at New Life Valley Church in San Jose, CA.

Under God’s guidance, he resigned from his position in June 2023 and founded Lighthouse Generation Church on January 7, 2024. His passion is to expand the Kingdom of God by reaching unbelievers for Christ, discipling them, and helping them to be healed, restored, transformed, and live a victorious life in Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Paul lives in San Jose, CA, with his wife, Thuy Tran, and their three daughters, Celine, Elise, and Grace.

Jessica P. Chu

Mission Pastor

Jessica is an evangelist and minister, ordained by Patricia King Ministries Institute. By God’s grace, she has faithfully been involved in international orphan ministry for many years, despite her critical illness. She joined Lighthouse Generation Church from its inception to oversee our mission work, and offer financial assistance and spiritual guidance to the orphans and the poor in villages scattered throughout Viet Nam.

She believes, with compassion and financial assistance, we can bring hope and restore broken lives to a brighter tomorrow for the orphans and the poor.

Khoi V. Chu

Treasurer 

Khoi joined Lighthouse Generation with his wife, Jessica Chu, to oversee our finances. Khoi and Jessica are also our husband and wife worship team leaders. Their passion is to equip and pass the torch of faith to the next generation, in the USA as well as abroad. They have 3 grown children: Daniel, Joshua, and Amy.
